A white Ghost has a lightness the larger Phantom doesn’t. The lines are clean, the body is smooth and the paintwork looks fresh in morning sun, so the car feels elegant rather than imposing. It suits couples who want a Rolls Royce but would rather be admired than stared at.
If you’ve looked at the Phantom and thought it was a little too grand, this is the one to see next.
The Series II is the updated version of the Ghost, with sharper lighting, a refined grille and a cleaner overall look than the first generation. Rolls Royce kept the proportions that made the original popular, so the car looks restrained and well balanced.
That restraint works in white. With very little decoration on the body, the paintwork and the grille do the talking.
White suits ivory, champagne, blush and pale green, and it makes navy and charcoal suits look sharp by contrast. Bridesmaids in dusty rose, sage or lilac sit well beside it. If your colours are bold, such as deep red or emerald, the car acts as a calm backdrop rather than competing.
If you’re torn between white and black, send us a photograph of the outfits and we’ll tell you which looks better. See our black Rolls Royce Ghost to compare.
Light paintwork looks crisp in direct sun and soft under thin cloud, which suits spring and summer ceremonies, garden receptions and country venues. On a warm day the cabin stays comfortable, with climate control for the rear seats.
For evening ceremonies and winter dates, black tends to look richer after dark.
The Ghost’s rear doors are hinged at the back, so they open towards you rather than away from you. Because the car is shorter than a Phantom, it can often pull up right at a church gate or hotel entrance, and you step out within a stride of the path instead of walking along the kerb.
For a long dress or a morning coat, that short distance matters. There’s no shuffling sideways and no trailing a hem past a wet verge. Your chauffeur opens the door as the car stops, and the umbrella is ready if the morning needs it.
Your Ghost comes with a chauffeur who arrives early, checks the route and allows for traffic, so you set off on time without watching the clock. They open the doors, look after the dress and bouquet and wait while you have your photographs.
For a day with several stops, they follow the timings you’ve agreed, and tell you if a road is closed or a venue entrance has changed. If you’d like them in a particular suit, cap or gloves, ask when you book.
It’s smaller than the Phantom but still roomy for the couple. It isn’t a group car, so if you want parents or bridesmaids in the same vehicle, we can quote for a second car alongside it.
The smaller size makes it easier to place at town venues, hotel entrances and church car parks, and it turns more readily on narrow roads. We still check your addresses before the day.
Give us the date, venue and start time, and we’ll check the white Ghost and reply with a price you can read through before you decide.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom is larger and has a more formal presence, while the Ghost has a slightly more understated design. Both offer a distinctive choice for couples looking for luxury wedding transport.
The car has a white exterior. Interior colours can vary, so please contact us if you would like to confirm the interior finish before booking.
The Ghost offers a spacious interior, but comfort depends on the style and size of your dress. If you have a particularly full skirt or a long train, let us know when enquiring so we can discuss whether the car is suitable.
If you prefer a black Rolls-Royce Ghost, please contact us to check availability. We can discuss the options for your wedding date and travel arrangements.
Hire duration depends on the booking arrangements available. Contact us with your wedding date and the number of hours you need the car, and we can discuss the options and provide a quote.
Every hire includes a professional chauffeur. Your quote will confirm the agreed hire duration and journey arrangements, including any additional stops requested as part of your booking. Please check the details before confirming your reservation.
Contact Wedding Car Hire Essex with your wedding date, collection address, destination and any additional stops. We can discuss availability, journey arrangements and pricing for your booking.
