White Rolls Royce Phantom Hire: The Wedding Car Most People Picture

Ask someone to describe a wedding Rolls Royce and they usually describe this: tall, white, with a flat-fronted grille and a silver figure on the bonnet. The Series I Phantom has that look, and it arrives at the church door looking like it was made for the day.

It’s the car for couples who want the classic image without needing the newest model.

Where the Series I Fits in the Phantom Line

The Series I is the first of the modern Phantoms, built at Goodwood from 2003. The later Series II brought updated lights and styling, and the Phantom 8 replaced both in 2017. Seen side by side, the differences are small. To most guests, a white Series I simply looks like a Phantom.

That’s the useful point. You get the full presence of the car, the grille, the long bonnet and the rear-hinged doors, at a lower price than the newer models.

Matching a White Car to a White Dress

A bright, cool-white dress can look slightly flat beside bright white paintwork, and a warmer, creamier car can sit better beside it. Tell us the colour of your dress when you enquire, and we will say honestly which looks better.

If your dress is a bright, cool white, tell us when you enquire. A slightly warmer car can look better beside it, and we’ll say so honestly. For a darker, more formal look, see our black Phantom Series I.

Spring and Summer Ceremonies

White reflects light, so the car looks bright and fresh from late spring to early autumn. It works well against green lawns, brick, stone and blue sky, and in the strong light of a summer afternoon the chrome grille stands out cleanly.

On a grey day it still looks smart, though a cream dress will stand out less against it. Winter and evening weddings are usually better suited to the black car.

The Church Gate Moment

Most guests only see the car once it has stopped and the door opens. On the Series I, the rear doors are hinged at the back, so the door swings wide towards the car’s tail and leaves a clear gap beside the seat. The person stepping out is visible from the gate, with the white paintwork and the open door behind them, which is the picture most couples have in mind when they book a wedding Rolls Royce.

Your chauffeur is already at the door as the car stops. Hold the bouquet, gather the skirt and stand up straight, and the first steps along the path look unhurried.

A Phantom Without the Newest-Car Price

The Series I is one of the more affordable ways to arrive in a Phantom. If you’d like the look and have other priorities for the budget, such as the venue, the photographer or the flowers, it’s a sensible choice.

Series I, Series II or Phantom 8: Which Is Worth It?

  • Series I: The classic white Phantom at the lowest Phantom price.
  • Series II: A slightly updated version of the same car.
  • Phantom 8: The newest, largest and most expensive.

If your guests won’t spot the difference and your budget matters, the Series I is the one to look at first.

Rolls Royce phantom

Got married early March and we decided to book a Rolls Royce Phantom from Wedding Car Hire Essex. Really glad we did, it was the highlight of the day and my bride Tanya loved it,made the day Really special. The process was easy to book. The Chauffeur Asim was fantastic, he arrived approximately 10 minutes early so you have plenty of time to have photos taken with the car, there was bottles of mineral water in the car, as you would expect the car was prestine throughout. When we arrived at the wedding venue Asim knew to park and possion the car to get the best photos of us with the church and scenery in the background. Would definitely recommend Wedding Car Hire Essex. Thanks Asim
